General responsibilities of each staff position:
General Manager - Jim Collins
This position is responsible for
the strategic operational management of BCFIRB in fulfilling both its regulated
marketing and farm practices mandates, and for directing the overall
conflict resolution role of BCFIRB.
Manager, Issues and Planning - Vacant
This
position develops policy advice and recommendations on agricultural
regulatory federal/provincial agreements and long-term issues, and
oversees and supports the commodity boards in developments of their
strategic and governance processes.
Issues Management Analyst - Melanie Sommerville
This position
manages and resolves operational ad hoc issues before BCFIRB and
manages formal BCFIRB reviews of regulated marketing and farm
practices issues.
Case Manager - Gloria Chojnacki
This position manages distinct, formal and directed
processes to ensure that regulated marketing appeals and farm
practices complaints are received, reviewed, referred to a separate
mediation process if appropriate and/or heard and decided in a
timely manner.
Research Analyst - Jessica White
This position conducts research
to support the management of regulated marketing and farm practices
issues before BCFIRB.
Board Services Coordinator - Raji Basi
This position is responsible for all
aspects of board administration and ensures that administrative
support is provided to members and staff. There are three
administrative support positions:
Operations Assistant - Nicole Peck
This position provides
support to the strategic planning, issues management and appellate
functions of BCFIRB.
Financial Clerk - Lisa Stride
The responsibilities of this
position include accounts; service contracts; vacation and leave
management tracking; and
general office administrative support to staff and Board members.
Administration Assistant - Vicki White
The responsibilities of this position include responding to
general enquiries, correspondence, filing, administrative support to
staff and Board members including travel and scheduling.
