Rules of Practice and
Procedure
The BC Farm
Industry Review Board (BCFIRB) has recently developed
Rules of
Practice and Procedure for Appeals filed under the Natural
Products Marketing (BC) Act.
The purpose of
these rules is to facilitate and encourage clear, consistent and
efficient practices concerning appeals so that all parties
understand the process along with their rights and responsibilities.
In most respects, these rules reflect practices adopted by BCFIRB
over the many years and are consistent with the approach of various
tribunals following the introduction of the Administrative
Tribunals Act.
These rules
are effective as of January 16, 2008. Persons involved in an appeal
must proceed on the basis that these rules apply unless BCFIRB
directs otherwise. To view the Rules,

Please note
that the updated Notice of Appeal form (Appendix 1) will be
developed as an online form in the near future. Until then you still
have the option of using the old form on this website on the webpage
Filing an Appeal or by
clicking here.
